Corpse Flower

Literal translation: not to break three legs on a duck.

Meaning: to be normal or mundane, bordering on boring.

Enough about ducks. I want to introduce the titan arum. It’s a death plant known as a “corpse flower” that blooms every seven years or so.

It’s got just one leaf. And it’s pretty massive. According to Wikipedia, the titan arum’s flower blooms only for a short period of time and gives off a powerful scent of rotting flesh to attract pollinators. Hence the name, “corpse plant.” It devours its prey with a death scent and leads insects that feed on death to a death of their own.

Brain teaser:

What makes this number unique: 8,549,176,320?
