Amuse-bouche:
Every morning for the past nine months, I announce loudly to my family that I’m going for a jog, and then I don’t. It’s my longest running joke of this year.
Today’s Wonderful Word: “cheapskate.”
Definition: a miserly or stingy person, especially one who tries to avoid paying a fair share of costs or expenses.

Example: “Don’t be such a cheapskate! Just pay your part of the rent and we can still be roommates.”
Tough, trough, though, through, thought, thorough, throughout
What a nightmare, trying to pronounce all these back-to-back.
I thought it was tough trying to get through this thorough list, like trudging through a thick trough, though I’m glad I remained patient throughout.
If you’re learning English, fear not! This is about as bad as it gets. It’s all downhill from here (which sounds like an inevitably negative future, so I don’t know if it should be “uphill” or what. Perhaps the most difficult parts of English are expressions and phrasal verbs).
Answer to Saturday’s riddle:
Word, nerd, bird, curd. (Other answers are possible.)
