Alternative definition: the hot period between early July and early September.
It’s the hottest summer ever, probably.
The dog days are the hottest days of the year. It seems like we’re having more and more “hottest” days every year. Records are broken left and right. We’ll probably have the record this year for having the most new heat records in one year.
The Day the World Burned Up
This is the Day the World burned up.
We went outside and then went up in flames.
This was the Day the World burned up.
Everywhere we looked was burning.
We’re living in the Dog Days.
This Dog Day is the one when the World burned up.
Tomorrow is another Dog Day in flames.
Outside is burning to the inside.
Woof! It’s hot.
Bark! Find some water.
Howl! Take care in the night.
Bow-Wow! Stay cool.
Grr! It’s summer.
Bay! The Dog Days.
Ruff! It’s rough.
