Gelato me crazy

Today’s expression: “Break a leg.”

Meaning: Good luck.

Nothing beats Italian food.

Gelato, tiramisu, spaghetti, lasagna, focaccia, arancini, ravioli, gnocchi, cappuccino, and PIZZA.

Pizza’s gotta be the best thing since sliced bread. I mean, we should change the expression to “the best thing since pizza.” Except, I doubt any creation, invention, or culinary discovery could ever shadow pizza.

Utensils

Tiny spoons for gelato.

A big spoon for spaghetti. A fork to twirl in the spoon.

A fork and knife for the first bite of pizza if it’s too long to fold. Then you can fold it.

Tips

Don’t break uncooked spaghetti noodles. Put them in the pot of boiling water and let them fan out along its rim until the bottom half is soft enough to let the full noodle be immersed. Al dente means leaving the noodles boiling for a fraction of the time most American pasta boxes recommend.

Don’t drink a cappuccino after noon. It’s only a breakfast drink.

How about an espresso after our 8 o’clock dinner is finished at 10pm? Sure!

When I was a wee lad who knew neither of utensils nor napkins.

When I was not as wee a lad and discovered the use of tiny utensils.

I don’t know why, but he kept saying, “Gelato me crazy.”
I don’t know why, but I laughed every time.

Maybe that was why.

And now I say it all the time and laugh every time.

Brain teaser:

Take a 3-letter word that has 1 syllable. Add 1 letter, and the new word will have 4 syllables. What are the 2 words?
