Radio Garden

Amuse-bouche: Roses are grey, violets are grey, I am a dog.

Today’s Wonderful Word: “Afghanistan.”

Afghanistan is the only country that has three letters in alphabetic sequence (F, G, H).

Radio Garden is a little gem of a website. When you visit Radio Garden, you will see a globe full of lights. Each light represents a radio station. The circle in the middle of your screen is your tuning indicator. Wherever the circle lands, your browser will tune into the area’s local radio station.

Click and drag the globe to bring the circle to a stop over any light on the map. Doing so will give you access to a full list of stations available in the selected broadcasting tower. You can zoom in to make it easier to select different towers.

Tune into stations from around the world. Practice a new language, listen to new music, and broaden your horizon with Radio Garden. Here’s the link: http://www.radio.garden/.

Thanks to Jeopardy! for sharing this website (and lots of fun trivia) with me.
