Amuse-bouche:
A frog hopped into a bank to ask for a loan. As the frog approached the teller’s counter, he noticed her nametag read, “Patricia Whack.”
“Hello, Ms. Whack,” the frog said. “My name is Kermit Jagger, son of Mick Jagger, and I’m interested in taking out a loan for $50,000 to buy a boat.”
“Hello, Mr. Jagger,” Patricia responded. “I’d be happy to assist in getting your loan application started. First, we will need to secure collateral for your loan.”
“No problem!” Kermit said. He reached into his pocket, produced a small porcelain elephant, and placed it on the counter.
“Umm, okay. One moment please while I consult my supervisor.” Patricia carefully lifted the porcelain elephant from the counter and turned to walk to her manager’s office in the back of the bank.
Kermit called out to Ms. Wack as she left the bank lobby. “It’s okay, I know the branch manager! Trust me!”
After a smile and a nod in the direction of Mr. Jagger, Patricia turned back around, walked to her manager’s desk, and said, “I’m sorry to bother you, but I’ve got a certain Kermit Jagger out front looking to take out a $50,000 loan. As collateral, Mr. Jagger placed this little elephant on the counter.” Patricia held the porcelain elephant in the palm of her hand for her manager to see. “What is this?” she asked.
“It’s a knickknack, Patty Whack. Give the frog a loan! His old man’s a Rolling Stone.”
